Gliding

Event for 30 pre-approved cadets.
Note:
This is a weather and equipment dependent activity.
As this event is also on the same weekend as Tag Fundraising for the squadron – cadets whom are gliding will be expected to tag at times outside of the saturday tag events ( thurs, fri or sunday)
Priority will be given to those cadets whom have not glided in 2023, and new recruits.
Priority will be given to cadets whom have demonstrated a propensity to show up when they sign up. ( there are cadets who sign up for many items, but fail to show without any reason given)

| Purpose:

To acquaint cadets with the activities of flying in a glider, and in an aerodrome operations.

This event is weather dependent. It may be called off at the start of the day, or at any point during due to weather conditions, resulting in an early return.
Note -this day is on the TAG fundraising weekend. Cadets attending will be expected to make up their required TAG times during the other available tagging periods on the weekend.
Cadets will rendezvous at the Armoury at the start time and will transport to Airport via schoolbus. Cadets will engage in ground handling activity, flying and recreational concurrent activities. Lunch will be provided on site however cadets are encouraged to bring personal water bottles and snacks..
PRIORITY SPACES WILL BE GIVEN TO CADETS WHOM HAVE NOT GLIDED BEFORE, and have demonstrated traits of positive attendance. If you glided in 2023- do not sign up.
There is only room for 30 cadets to attend Maximum. A waiting list will be posted for those additional cadets interested.
